I missed this fabulous event last year and I wasn’t about to let that happen again!
If you love women’s stories, women in general, blogging or just love to support your favorite bloggers, you must attend “Beauty of a Woman Blogfest”!!
Below is a copy of August McLaughlin’s BOAW page for this blogfest. You DON’T want to miss this!!
Thank you for your interest in the Beauty of a Woman BlogFest, 2013! I can’t wait to share what’s sure to be a fun, funny, inspiring, tear-jerking, thought provoking, beauty-FULL event with you all.
A rundown of the fest:
What: A blog-fest designed to celebrate beauty, however you define it.
Who: YOU! The fest is open to females and males of all ages.
When: Friday, February 22nd
Where: On my blog, and yours. As a participating blogger, you’ll post your installment on your blog the day/evening before.
How: Sign up in the comments below. (Stories will appear in order of appearance, so the sooner you sign up, the better.) You’ll then write a blog post to share on Thursday, February 21st by 5PM Pacific Standard time, along with this year’s badge. On the 22nd, all of the links will appear on my blog.
Why: To have fun, be inspired and entertained, inspire or entertain others, gain exposure and blog readers and, potentially, win a Kindle Fire or equivalent Amazon gift card. (All participants and commenters will be entered into the prize drawing. The more blogs you visit, the greater your chances become.)
“What should I write about?”
Anything related to the theme, which is based on Sam Levinson’s poem, The Beauty of a Woman. If you’re stuck, consider answering one of the following questions:
- What does beauty mean to you?
- Who is the most beautiful woman in your life, and why?
- When have you felt most beautiful?
- How do you maintain positive body image? How have you overcome poor body image?
- What are you willing to do to better embrace and recognize your own beauty?
- What’s your most embarrassing “beauty moment?”
- If you could write to your younger self, or anyone, and instill a stronger sense of self acceptance, what would you say?
To sign up, post a comment on August’s BOAW page. If you have questions about the fest, please email August: august at augustmclaughlin dot com. To check out last year’s fest, visit the BOAW BlogFest 2012.
