Sexy, Smart and Strong women (and men) know when it’s time to take a break to play. Today’s my day for playing.
Recently I visited Kathy Owen’s blog where she was given the task of listing her favorite 10 things that begin with the letter “R”. She has really cool items on her list! Please go check it out when you’re done here.
Kathy offered to assign a letter to anyone interested in playing along.
She gave me the letter “L”. YAY!
My favorite ten things that start with “L”:
1. Love – Who doesn’t love love? Love makes the world go ’round and hearts go pitter-patter.
2. Lust – You knew that, right? After all this blog is all about Sexy. Lust is not limited to sex, though. Since it’s a ‘passionate appetite’, I also have lust for great books; dark, dark chocolate; travel anywhere; excellent movies and music.
3. Lingerie – This goes along the first two…mmm, the feel of silky lingerie.
4. Linen – I love the softness of my linen blouses and the fresh smell of linen sheets off the clothesline.
5. Learning – If I’m not learning something new, I’m bored. I’m no fun when I’m bored.
6. Liberty – One of my favorite things about living in America.
7. Laughter – It’s healthy and relaxing to laugh out loud everyday. HaHaHa!
8. Lilacs – My #1 favorite flower. I could keep my nose stuck in the middle of a lilac bloom forever! Unfortunately, I have no lilacs growing my yard. I’ll have to rectify that.
9. Lunchbox – September means the start of the school year in my state. As a kid, I couldn’t wait to get my new lunchbox every year…Sleeping Beauty, Shirley Temple, and rainbows made lunch more fun!
10. Lori – My older sister. She’s smart, attractive and funny and I love her.
Bonus #11 – Licorice -It’s always been one of my favorite flavors, behind chocolate, of course...Black Jack gum, licorice whips, licorice jelly beans. YUM!
I deliberately left out Leap Frog (I hated the boys jumping over me. They pushed so hard on my back.) and Liver (Eeew!).
Want to play? I’ll happily assign you a letter!

Hopped on over after Jenny’s glowing recommendation. Love your “L”s…well, with the exception of licorice. That is one of only a hand full of times I remember spitting a candy out as quickly as I bit in. Of course I feel the same way for merachino cherries, so don’t take it personally. By the way, is it odd that I found most things (except lunchboxes and your sister–but then I don’t know her) sexy? Thanks for the fun insight!

Welcome!I’m so glad you dropped in, Kitt! I can understand your feelings on licorice, but maraschino cherries?
Not odd at all that you found most things sexy. That just means you fit in here perfectly! By the way, you’re perceptive–sexy is not a word I associate with my sister.
I think you and Kathy both had just amazing posts on this. And I’m game (as long as you give me some time) – hit me with a letter, sister!

“T”….hmmmm. I’ll have to get after that one.

This is an awesome game. Recently I’ve visited a couple other blogs that participated. It’s so much fun to see how creative people get and how much we have in common.
Your “L” choices are fabulous, especially listing your sister. That is so sweet! I like everything on your list, with the exception of licorice. Yep, I’m with the licorice haters group
But I love Love, Lingerie, and Lilac!
Thanks, Angela! Games are important for those very reasons…play, commonality and creativity! I’ll forgive you for hating licorice. lol

I read this yesterday while waiting at the doctor’s office and it made me smile. Man, lunchboxes were a huge deal in school. Neither of my kids every really cared what they had, which made me a little nutsy. I still bought them cute little lunchboxes, but something about the cloth ones just doesn’t do it for me like the old school tin ones. With a matching thermos. Oh, yeah!
Great list. I’m a licorice lover, so I’m all over that one with you. And lingerie? Yes! Lust? Awesome! Of course, my favorite ‘L’ word is Love…
More proof that we’re long lost sistas! Having the right lunch box was a status symbol! Glad the list makes you smile, Tameri!

Spectacular list! Though I have to agree with Jess about the licorice. I’ll replace that one with lemon.

Argh! 2 licorice haters! That’s okay, though. Maybe loving/hating licorice says something about a person’s personality.
Thanks, Diana!

‘L’ove your list, Marcia! Especially that your sister is on it. Bet you two are a riot together. I disagree on the licorice part though. Black licorice is one of the grossest candies ever made – like Harry Potter Every Flavor Beans gross.
Assign me a letter! I’ll make it a guilty pleasure post!

Oh, no! Another licorice hater! It’s one of those things–you love it or you hate it!
Okay, how about the letter “S”? Have fun with it, Jess!

And I’d love to play

Lori’s pretty cool for and big sis. I’m so glad you want to play, Raelyn! How about the letter “C”?
Marcia Richards recently posted..My New Home
C…hm. I suppose they can’t all be chocolate, right?!
LOL
Raelyn Barclay recently posted..Mistress of the Stone
If I had been given C, other than ‘comfort’, ‘cake’ and ‘corn-on-the-cob’, the rest would have been chocolate in one form or another!
